White “Våga, Cararra” pot – Wilhelm Kåge – Gustavsberg

300.00 USD

A stunning white flowerpot from the Våga-serie (Wave) designed by Wilhelm Kåge at Gustavsbergs Studio in the 1950s. The pot is 20 cm in diameter and in excellent condition except from some minor scratches.

Wilhelm Kåge was a Swedish ceramic designer and artist who played a key role at Gustavsberg and became one of the most influential figures in 20th-century Scandinavian ceramics. He is best known for combining functional ware with expressive artistic form, often inspired by nature and everyday life. The Farsta series is one of his most iconic works, developed through experimental glazing techniques and earthy tones that create rich, organic surfaces. It reflects his interest in materiality and controlled randomness, making each piece unique while maintaining a cohesive design language. Today, Farsta pieces are highly sought after by collectors worldwide and museums.
