Johnny Mattsson – Wooden Bowl in Teak

A lovely wooden bowl in teak designed by Johnny Mattsson in Gävle, Sweden. The bowl is 21,5 x 15 cm in diameter and 24 cm high and in very good condition. It´s marked JM below and also with the sticker. He saw an old Swedish wooden bowl in shape of a goose at a museum in Sweden and then this shape became a popular design for him. 

He became recognized in the early 50´s for his enormous skills in wooden sculpturing. He is represented at most Swedish museums and also at some international museum.
