Isak Isaksson – Unique Chawan with white and orange shino glaze

A unique chawan with white and orange shino glaze designed by the Swedish artist Isak Isaksson. The chawan is 11 cm in diameter and 8 cm high, it´s in mint condition.

Isak Isaksson was born in 1949 and is one of Sweden´s leading contemporary ceramic artists. Isak has become a master in throwing and a specially in glazing. Isak has been exhibit numerous of times all over the world and in 2019 he received the title of certified ceramic master – the highest recognition in Swedish pottery. He is a master of the crystalline glazes which makes his artworks really unique. Isak is the only westerner who has received the Sen Hounzai Soshitzu Prize in Japan for his chawan.
