Isak Isaksson – Large Stoneware Vase Red & Blue Crystaline Glaze

A large stoneware vase with a lovely blue crystaline decor. The vase is 44 cm (17.6″) high and in mint condition.  This is a technique that only a few person in the world masters.

Isak Isaksson was born in 1949 and is one of Sweden´s leading contemporary ceramic artists. Isak has become a master in throwing and a specially in glazing. Isak has been exhibit numerous of times all over the world and in 2019 he received the title of certified ceramic master – the highest recognition in Swedish pottery. He is a master of the crystalline glazes which makes his artworks really unique. Isak is the only westerner who has received the Sen Hounzai Soshitsu Prize in Japan for his chawan. He as represented at a several museums, including the Swedish National Museum.
