A vase with an amazing green / dark turquoise speckled glaze. This is one of the most popular glazes on Gunnar Nylunds ceramics. The vase is designed by Gunnar Nylund at Rörstrand in the Mi 20th century. The vase is 19 cm high (7.6″) and 13 cm (5.2″) in diameter. It is in excellent condition and marked as on photo.

Gunnar Nylund was born in Paris 1904 with parents who worked as sculptors and designer so he really soon started hos own career as designer for the Danish brand Bing & Grondahl where he worked until 1928. After that he together with Nathalie Krebs established the ceramics workshop Saxbo in Denmark. In 1931, Gunnar Nylund was then asked to start working for Rörstrand in Lidköping, Sweden. He worked there until 1955, most of the time as artistic director. After Gunnar Nylund Carl-Harry Stålhane became the artistic director for Rörstrand. Gunnar Nylund freelanced for Rörstrand for many years after 1955.
