Giant, Unique Bowl – Carl-Harry Stålhane – Rörstrand – 1966
5,250.00 USD
A large unique bowl designed by Carl-Harry Stålhane at Rörstrand, it is 40 x0 40 cm (16″ x 16″) in diameter and 26 cm (10.4″) high. It is in excellent condition. This bowl was produced by Carl-Harry Stålhane in 1966. This is one of the best unique pieces I ever seen by Carl-Harry Stålhane. The weight of the bowl is just above 30.8 lb (14 kg), so then you understand that this is a really magnificent object.
Carl-Harry Stålhane is one of the top names when it comes to midcentury Scandinavian Ceramics. He was the artistic director of Rörstrand from 1950 until 1973. His sheer and elegant stoneware vases from the 1950s with speckled eggshell-like and harfur glazes in muted shades have received a marked increase in demand in recent years and are often included in international interiors and collection. His artworks are represented at MoMA in New York as well as Victorian and Albert Museum in London.
