A lovely blue and brown speckled vase designed by Gunnar Nylund at Rörstrand, the vase is 16 cm (6,4″) high and about 10 cm (4″) in diameter. It´s in very good condition and marked as 2nd quality.
Gunnar Nylund is born in Paris but moved to Denmark and started to work at Bing & Gröndahl porcelain factory in Denmark and after that he started Saxbo ceramics in Denmark and worked there for many years. After that he became the artistic leader at Rörstrand in Sweden and worked there between 1931-1955. Gunnar Nylund is represented at a several Swedish and international museums. He is one of the most well know ceramicists in Scandinavia during the 20th century.
