A Green Hedgehog vase – Chamotte – Gunnar Nylund – Rörstrand

A green Hedgehog-vase designed by Gunnar Nylund at Rörstrand. It is 11 cm (4.4″) high and in excellent condition except from some minor marks. The vase is marked as the photo shows.

Gunnar Nylund is born in Paris but moved to Denmark and started to work at Bing & Gröndahl porcelain factory in Denmark and after that he started Saxbo ceramics in Denmark and worked there for many years. After that he became the artistic leader at Rörstrand in Sweden and worked there between 1931-1955. Gunnar Nylund is represented at a several Swedish and international museums. He is one of the most well know ceramicists in Scandinavia during the 20th century.
