3 CERAMIC VASES – GUNNAR NYLUND – RÖRSTRAND

A group of three vases with a lovely glaze designed by Gunnar Nylund at Rörstrand, the vase are 21.5 cm (5″) and 15 cm (6″) high. Two of the vases are 2nd quality and the brown one is first quality.
Gunnar Nylund was born in Paris 1904 with parents who worked as sculptors and designer so he really soon started hos own career as designer for the Danish brand Bing & Grondahl where he worked until 1928. After that he together with Nathalie Krebs established the ceramics workshop Saxbo in Denmark. In 1931, Gunnar Nylund was then asked to start working for Rörstrand in Lidköping, Sweden. He worked there until 1955, most of the time as artistic director. After Gunnar Nylund Carl-Harry Stålhane became the artistic director for Rörstrand. Gunnar Nylund freelanced for Rörstrand for many years after 1955.
