Stig Lindberg designed Berså in 1961 as a tribute to the Swedish early summers many lovely green leafs. Berså in Swedish means Arbor. The model of the porcelain is Bohus which shapes you can see with many different patterns where Berså is one of them. It has become on of the most well know tableware ever produced in Sweden. It can almost be described as a national icon for Sweden. Since Berså was a every day porcelain most of the pieces today shows heavy wear of use, but these ones are in very good condition and close to mint condition. Gustavsberg started to produce Berså again in 2005 but this one is the original one from the midcentury
